Me, in my Own Words

Hailing from the Washington, D.C. area, I’m a voice actor with a focus on audiobooks.

American English is my native language. I have also studied and trained abroad. Studying art history at university gave me a broad base. Today, it serves me with a wide range of content—plus huge respect for proper names and how to pronounce them! Professional voice training has developed the storytelling skill I gained as an award winning screenwriter, author, editor, and producer. I speak French, and I've studied German, Italian and Greek.

What I bring to your project is an ear for dialect, a natural sense of rhythm, a deep love of storytelling, and an uncanny knack for lifting stories and characters off the page and bringing them to life. As a vocal professional, my highest value is giving listeners an immersive experience of Your world.

You can have confidence that your project is in good hands with me. I’m responsive, organized, detail-oriented, mindful, flexible, and easy to work with. I take direction, but I’m also a confidant director when you need one. Most important, I’m a completionist, and that means I’m efficient with time and resources to get your project done perfectly—on deadline, no drama.

Above all, I’m a person committed to equity, inclusiveness, diversity, and doing what’s right.

I’m equipped with a soothing, expressive, and deeply resonant voice that’s well suited to a wide range of material and characters. For “A Night at the Amazon’s” by Francesco Rapazzini, set in Paris 1926, I read all 34 roles. I command a battery of regional and international dialects, and I’m always adding more. When called for, my smooth performances lend gravitas and a cosmopolitan flair that are well-suited to authors who are experts and luminaries.

I bring subtlety, nuance, and good timing to every performance, with the close attention of a passionate artist who cares about quality. I’m a reader who can find lightness in the densest of sentences. Or move listeners to tears. I’ve got the good timing that humor demands. Tongue twisters trip off my tongue.

I know there are a lot of wonderful voice actors out there. But when your project calls for a velvety and supple female voice, I hope you’ll consider mine. Here is some of the critical praise that my intelligent, elegant, and artful performances in 2020 have earned from best-selling authors and social media influencers.
